Our Theatre History
Founded in 2022
Half Twin Theatre was founded in 2022 by our Artistic Director Gabrielle Banville. A real life twin, the company's name represents duality, a central theme in many of Banville’s works.
Our productions have engaged with over 1000 audience members, most of which are young adult women who have felt heard in our work.
Our Future
We plan to create and produce plays at Fringes across Canada, as Fringe Festivals are hubs of exploration and connection. We also plan to produce our previous productions, whether it be independently or in collaboration with a professional theatre company.
We are excited to collaborate with artists across Canada who are a part of communities from varying cultural and social spaces. We will continue to ensure that the women whose stories we share, and the women who join our audiences, are never forgotten.
